[Nijmegen, The Netherlands] – April 30th, 2025 – Plasmacure, the MedTech innovator behind the revolutionary PLASOMA® cold plasma system for chronic wound treatment, is proud to announce a strategic development and distribution agreement in principle with Venture Medical, LLC, the U.S.-based leading provider of advanced wound care.
This agreement will introduce PLASOMA cold plasma technology, which can heal 2.5 times more complex wounds than standard wound care, to the United States. Under the terms of the agreement, Venture Medical will lead the FDA approval process in partnership with Plasmacure. Once regulatory approval has been secured, Venture Medical will serve as Plasmacure’s exclusive U.S. commercialization partner, supporting market entry, education of healthcare professionals, and nationwide distribution of PLASOMA cold plasma system. Plasmacure will continue to innovate its technology at the frontier of clinical effectiveness and patient impact.

Cold plasma is created by adding energy to gas. It is very effective in killing bacteria and stimulating blood flow and cell growth. PLASOMA pulser sends electric pulses to a disposable PLASOMA pad, which creates cold plasma directly in the wound, safely initiating multiple mechanisms of action which are well known to speed healing. As rates of diabetic foot ulcers and other non-healing or slow-healing wounds continue to rise in the U.S., this system will offer a stand-alone or additive effective treatment modality.
